The Objective
This client wanted a modern looking website to display and sell stock photos online. He also asked for a nice gallery to showcase his talents and a place where he could write articles about photography. In addition, he wanted to be able to update the website on his own, by adding products, images, and articles.
Our Solution
Since the main goal of this site was to sell stock photography online, we started off by installing a robust e-commerce system, Zen Cart™, which could handle all the requirements for this project. Using Zen Cart™ allowed us to integrate a content management system (CMS), shopping cart, payment gateway, photo gallery, and much more. Next, we created a photo gallery for the website in two separate formats, Flash and Lightbox, to give visitors a choice and make it compatible with older browsers. Because of the CMS functionality, our client can update the site without our help. We also designed a custom logo for the client and created a stationary set that includes letterhead, envelope, and business card designs.
